Hi,
My 04 factory has annoying vibes, more of a buzz really, not really bad but sometimes gives me pins n needles mainly at around 3 to 4k revs.
Tried every solution other than a power commander
Just need to know from anyone with a power commander fitted, wether any of you have a similar vibe situation, or none at all
Just want to be sure before forking out on one.
Thanks in advance
George

Just the thundering twin thing m8, these r renowned for vibration,
pc won't cure it but will smooth the flat spots out

Most days when filtering etc due to heavy traffic or in built up areas with 30 limit

what about weighting the bars a bit more, I've stuck lead down the bars on most of my v-twins and it seems to work well! or is it pins and needles elsewhere other than your hands?

Have tried heavier bar ends but will experiment more with different weights.
Thanks

Alternative to sticking lead in the bars is filling them with sand. As well as adding the extra mass to chnage the response period the sand has more damping than the lead so if there is any vibrations it should discipate quickly.

Have you changed the gearing ?
If not try one down on the front or up a couple on the rear that will shift the rev range and help

Thanks but have already gone one tooth less up front.
extra heavy bar ends are on the way. Will let you know if it sorts the problem

Get some grip puppies , they slide over the standard grips put them on a yam fjr1300 with r and g bar ends , the bar ends did nowt but the grip puppies are good , obviously the grip is bigger and it may make your **** feel thin when you go for a weewee, i may put some puppies on the ape this winter as i suffer with my ulna nerves [ funny bones] ,
