quick K&N query

just had the K&N air filter come that i won on eBay last week. right diameter but it's about 6mm or so too short!!!!!!

i obviously have the wrong filter, but for now i have packed between the filter and airbox lid with a ring of small bore air hose(which works good)

i will have to check the K&N site to double check the dimensions

i think there are two different sizes for the earlier and later bikes?? griff will probably be the best to confirm this.

I have a 2000 RSV , it came with a DNA filter that measures

123mm tall
130mm diameter
97mm diameter intake opening
16mm lip between intake opening and outside edge of filter.

sorted it out after a visit to the k&n site

i bought a filter for an 'R' which is slightly smaller all round,
part number AL-1001
i need the filter
part number AL-1098

it will teach me for trying to grab a bargain

Funny, i have bought the AL-1098 and its too tall for me

I would trade them, but probably the shipping cost would be to much.
