Thanks to all those who replied to my question re exhaust cans. I bought my RSVr in Dec 2011, trading in a 750 VFR, and there is a bit of difference!
The bike is a single seat version and more comfortable than I thought it would be. Now for a couple of questions:-
1. The front forks are 3 way adjustable 2 on the top of each fork and 1 on the bottom. In the handbook it show the top adjustments as being done with an allen key and the other with a spanner. The previous owner has removed the nuts and replaced them with anodised aluminium 3 cornered devices that look as if they could be adjusted by hand, but they seem too tight to do that . Anyone senn these sorts of things before?

2.Can anyone recommend an after market double bubble screen?

3. Are these bikes tempermental during cold starts? I, ve only had trouble once and I think that was because I touched the throttle while pushing the button. I think it flooded and although turned over seemed completely dead.

1) Sure these only slip over the original fittings ,normally have a grub screw underneath to locate so if too tight to hand adjust remove and use tools

2) double screens are much of a muchness ,theres a guy on ebay doing them for £20 ,good feedback from guys on the aprilia forums

3) never touch the throttle, pull back the cold start(choke?) lever..make sure the battery is kept topped up via an optimate ,if in doubt replace with a ytx14 which has more cold cranking amps, upgrade to 150amp solenoid and then some heavy duty cables from killaprilla,..that should sort you out

if it floods you need to hold the throttle wide open and crank it over ..watch out as when it catches theres a big bang of unburnt fuel :)
