question with pit bull front stand

hey guys - new to this forum have some forum experience over at 350z-tech, have a fun 350z and now a fun 2001 mille r...1st bike, ever...

Front stand, got the correct pin but cannot find how/where it locks into the front fork. Additionally, the bike was laid-down and the original body was replaced with a sharkskinz mille r body (which might be my issue).

I ordered the correct pin but cannot find where the damn thing recepts - any help would be appreciated -

the hole is there but its behind a plastic shield which i think is there to stop muck and stuff coming of the front wheel towards the back of the clocks?? i no the racer boys who race millies take it of for the stand?? i wouldn`t see a problem on the road with it of just keep an eye in that area and keep it clean??
