I'm about to change the battery on my T and want to go with the bigger Yuasa YTX14.

For those of you who've done it, how did you sort the plastic bracket that holds down the battery, and the tip-over switch ?

Pics would be ( very ) appreciated ! :yes

I have a Motobatt YTX14 equivalent on my gen 2 , the plastic anchor bracket in question ! i just cut the small lip off it .

Fits perfectly and the tip over switch still fits to the bracket just fine .

cant furnish you with a pic sorry .

Thanks for the feedback.

Decided to play it safe and ordered a YTX12 - I have no extra gear installed requiring more power ( no alarm, heated grips, extra lights, or whatever ). Plus, does anyone for sure if the stock regulator/rectifier is meant to handle the extra power the YTX14 provides ? Not to mention the stator ?

the 14 will be fine mate, it doesnt provide any extra current to reccy, it just last longer as the cells are bigger, it also have a more CCA's to help with starting,

Still got original batt on my 09 tuo, but keep it on optimate 4 all the time , had no prob even when away at rallies?? But would probably upgrade to a 14 next!
