Purchasing an RSV

Hi All, I am looking to purchase a Gen 1/2 Aprilia RSV next year having owned a Gixer 1000 07 & R1 07 over the last 3 years.

Any advise on what I should be looking out for when purchasing?

Also interested in converting the fairings etc to Jasper spec kit,again any pitfalls would be appreciated?

firstly make up your mind which one you want they are not the same

gen1 more of grunty bike

gen2 more refined but more power with 57mm throttle bodies, better heads ,twin system
but try and pick one up with service history ...
gen2 suffer from fried stators
has the owner carried out any wiring mods? white/brown connector ( check the common mods forum on here)
look for dents in swingarm..these bikes have a habit of falling off their stands
dink in the frame by the brake/gear lever means its been down the road

do you want a gen1 R or gen2 Factory with the added bling of oz/ohlins and carbon? if you dont you'll be upgrading in the future and works out expensive.
