hello mate, if you go to your userCP you have the option to have a custom avatar (thats your profile pic). You'll need to resize the image if its a bit heavy (resize as in data size - use windows pic editor).

Click "User CP" on the top right of the page.

Then click "Edit Profile Picture"

You can then upload you picture; you must make sure the maximum size of your custom image is 400 by 300 pixels or 64.0 KB (whichever is smaller).
