Just want to make sure its not just me, but the change in gearing from standard, has made the throttle almost seem like an on n off switch in mainly 1st/2nd gears is this normal, I only say that because i've had the bike sat for almost 3 months, was thinking its either the gearing change or my throttle bodies are sticking somewhere on the open n close of the throttle??

Hello,
I don't think there is anything wrong with the gearing, if you want to go that low. The fuel injection or carbs can be problematic after storage. What I think may be the problem here is the throttle actuator......your hand. Three months off the bike could be enough to cause jerky application, especially with new, really low gearing. Ease into this. If there are other fuel-related possible problems such as stumbling off idle or power loss, have it sorted. Otherwise, re-learn the throttle (?).

i would agree here, took me a good hour or two yesterday to feel smooth on the bike, come the end of the ride all was sweet

Agree with both of the above, when I first tried mine after going to 16/44 it felt exactly as you say yours feels ( and your 15/44 must be even more noticeable). Takes a little while to get used to smoothing throttling action but it's well worth it :devious

More than likely the gearing mate, i run 15/46 and 47 on track and it makes first almost redundant, you will get used to it:thumbup

Whats the stock rear sprocket number lads please?

ps It helps also to have ZERO throttle play aswell.

Why are you running 15/44 gearing on the roads?

That's a little too extreme for road use, bet you can't keep the front wheel on the floor. :doug
