Hi all,
Had a bit of a nightmare with the bike starting over the weekend and looking for some advice. Here is how it come about.
Took the bike up to Brands Hatch on the Friday and parked her up outside the hotel in the evening.
Saturday morning went to start it and it wouldn't fire up :angry. Had the plugs out to dry them and was trying the full throttle start for ages until the battery was nearly dead and had to call green flag. When they turned up we hooked it up to their van battery and eventually got it going using full throttle.
At this point I decided to ride the back to Bristol and swap the bike for the van because I didn't want the same thing to happen on Sunday morning.
When I got back from Brands hatch Sunday evening she fired straight away with no problems. I am thinking that its not a problem with the battery as I keep it on an Optimate and after being nearly drained down on Saturday it still started fine Sunday evening.
I am pretty sure it is something to do with damp/moisture as it was frosty on the Saturday morning and I normally keep it garaged.
Are there any common problems with moisture getting anywhere? or where do people think the best place to start is?
Oh and the bike is a 2003 Mille.
Thanks.
