Problems at low imput throttle

Hi guys,
Last Saturday I took the bike to a garage to repack the exhaust and also to check why I was having problems with cold starts, the dash was resetting very often as well. It turned out that the fast idle had come loose so they adjusted it and changed the battery. No more problems with cold starts and dash resetting now.
The exhaust was repacked in such a way that when I knock on the pipe, it sound rock solid. Since then the bike is really rough and, if I don’t keep a constant throttle of more than 20%, the bike just shakes forwards and backwards. The bike is always been very smooth (for a twin) until now. Any ideas of what can be the reason/s?
Cheers

idle problem

i had the same problem getting my mille back on the road, she sounded like she was going to just give out, shake pretty bad. Go for a ride for about 5-10 minutes, give the bike a good run up and down the roads, till she is warm, then adjust the idle by using the idle adjuster right underneath the tank on the right side, near your turn signal, that helped mine and she runs like a fecking champ now. even now in the cool mornings she runs great with little choke on, and stays smooth.

With exhaust especially on twins the tighter the packing the better. Loose packing won't last 5 mins. Think of it like burning loose newspaper, Burns easily. Wrap all the pages together so there is no air between the pages and it won't burn hardly at all.

Provided the packing isn't blocking the exhaust in some way maybe they upset you throttle balance or dislodged a vac pipe whilst fiddling in the Tb area.

Thanks for your answers. The problem has been fixed. As per the mechanic, the bike was running on 3 plugs i/o 4 for some problem with an electrode. Cheers
