problem below 3 000 rpm diag 1

Hi,

I have got 04' APRILIA RSV 1000 and there is a small problem with that motorbike. Below 3 000 rpm the engine stops.
When there is more than 3 000 rpm the engine runs smoothly. There is no problem with starting the engine. When my bike is in DIAGNOSTIC mode on the screen is dispalyed DIAG 1 (picture attached).

As far as I know I have to adjust TPS, but I don'n know how to do this in 2004 model. In attachment you will find some of the pictures of my motorbike.

I will appreciate for any help.

Here is a link to the manual for the bike. This gives you the voltages and resistance readings to check the sensor. The manual does say the fault code is 15 for the TPS though?

Your bike may be registered as an 04 but it's an 03 model.

Diag 1 is not a fault code.

It is just logging the position of the TPS which will often vary from -1 to 1 depending on the idle adkuster position since it was last set.

essentially your Ecu is telling you there are no faults logged. chances are your problem is ignition or fuel related.

Look for damaged plug caps or loose or damaged vacuum pipes etc etc
