What sprocket sizes are you guys running?

my first ride on the tuono after riding supermotos was good, but i was expecting a mental hold on tight kind of rush..but it didnt feel that way..just urgent. i just feel i want it to pull that bit harder. it has the standard can on, but im sure that even a race can wouldnt give me that little bit extra im after.

Also, what tyres do you guys recomend?

Im a fair weather rider..so dont really need summat that is awesome in the wet...cuz i teater about like a gayer in damp conditions! longevity isnt really a problem either cuz i dont do too many miles a year... but i do want something that grips pretty much from the off..and grips like **** to a blanket!

16/44 is good on the Tuoldo.

Tyres................................... feck me, how many threads are there on tyres??? :dunno

I liked Michelin 2CTs, Windy had Bridgestones, others like Super Corsa's
I think Weeksy likes black ones, the choice, as they say, "Is yours"

how many hard riding miles would you think a set of supercorsa soft compoud tyres last?

yep...You can have a packet of salt and vinegar hula hoops!!

and yes they are still in date ;)

16/44 on mine although not ridden with it yet. I actually found it quick enough on 17/42 but it was labouring at times in the gears.

I'll be stunned if you get more than 1500 out of a set of SC's

I've just bought Maxxis Supermaxx because they're half the price of SC's

im doin 15/42 ..i can tell *** all difference..
then again.. im always pissed :crazy

15/42 = 1:2.8
16/44 = 1:2.75

(It's the same)

The Tuoldo was supplied with 17 & 16 tooth front sprockets - hence the recommendation for 16/44.

The Gen II comes with 16 & 15 tooth.............

Factory came with a 15tooth sprocket, so naturally that was the first item to go on after the first running-in service. So now 15/42
Definitely made a difference - gearing isn't so long and much easier around town / commuting:roost

As for tyres, the fitted Supercorsa Pro's left me with no confidence in the wet...twice had the back end come round on wet roundabouts, waheyyy:thumbup but that was also 'cos they were still not up to a decent temp (12 miles, cold, wet). 2500miles rear was getting low so now have Michelin Pilot Power 2CT's - had them on the RSV and found them a great tyre with loads of grip wet and dry.
If you only ride in the dry, Chappo, Supercorsa's I found gripped like superglue and you can outrun anything on the twisties.

Akrapovic slip-on cans up the bhp by <5% (therefore not an insurance issue) but make it a bit smoother in low gears and between 4-6000rpm; also a great burble so long as the baffles are out and are a few kg lighter.
Let's not go down the road of baffles in/out, legal or not....for me, it's a safety issue. If cars / vans etc can hear me then they'll hopefully get their heads out what they're doing and start looking in their mirrors. Then see the T and get the hell outta my way!!!

Bit of an essay all that. Guilty as charged.

Mine is quick enough on whatever is on it. A pal of mine has a new FZ1 and can't leave me.
As Paul says theres loads of threads on tyres, and its a personal choice these days.
No need to buy the stickiest stuff as sport touring will do just as good a job and last longer. Pilot road 2's I reckon would suit you.

sprocket size

15-44 is the way to go if you want fun. pulls like hell. 1st gen tuoldo. kand n filter. termi single race can.
