Hi all, I'm an ex Mille owner and I'm looking another. I sold my 2002 aprilia rsv Mille about 4/5 years ago for a 2009 repsol blade, the blade was an awesome bike but I'd more fun on the aprilia and I'm looking another. Can any members point me in the right direction as to price and things to look out for.

I'm from Northern Ireland and aprilia's are a rare breed over here, there are very little on the buy or sell sites or gumtree. I posted in Northern Ireland biker buy and sell and got a few replays with people selling 2000 models for£3000 which I think Is too much, I sold my 02 which was mint 4/5 years ago for £2500.

A guy sent me a private message on Facebook yesterday saying he had a mint 04 rsvr in yellow (always liked the yellow) it might of been registered in 04 but it's not a 04 as it was same shape as my own, if I can remember correct they changed shape in 04 to the dual cans??

Anyways says he might be interested in selling if he got the right money and is looking £3300, I replied saying it was too dear and I could get a new shape rsvr for that but if he dropped the price I'd be interested (really want that bike) he said it's an 04 with 7700 miles and he's second owner from new, what do you guys think?

So it's actually an 02 model as 03 models had different seat units radial brakes ..black frame and swingarm

It's a fair price if it's a clean bike..it has low miles

It's either that or come shopping over the water
 
It's a lovely looking bike but to me price is high, I paid £3300 5 years ago for my silver rsv with roughly 5000 miles. Still could be tempted to buy it if nothing comes up
 
I had an air box mod on mine which I bought on here from a guy hooked, is he still about and making them?

I Have mine ready for sale.
I have a 2000 last of the metal tank RSV mille in the rossi colours from his 250cc championship.
it is due for an mot which i will be happy to do for a buyer so they have a full 12 months.
i have just had the fuel pump changed as the brather pipes corroded (common fault).
Im Looking for around £2200 for a good example.
If this is of interest please let me know and i will send more info to you and photos.

In a good way or bad way? I sat on a gen2 today for the first, its a big lump of a bike.
 
I have an 04 gen 2 and it's a great bike. Be careful of the milage and check the old mots. The earlier Gen2s were prone to setting the odometer to zero if the battery goes flat or is replaced. 6k seems very low for a 10 year old bike!! If it's genuine then you have a very tidy standard bike for reasonable money. Get it for 3k and it's a bargain.
 
Its in northern Ireland, I asked him about the clocks and he said they have never reset and the miles are all summer miles.
Badapple how do you find the bike? Im 6'3 and my old 02 is the best bike ive riden for comfort
 
Wrong man to ask I'm tiny. 5"6 and 10st tops. I find it comfortable although I'm right up to the tank to reach the bars and I can only just get both feet on the floor it is a big bike so I'm sure would suit a taller rider. On the whole I love the bike. I've toured and done plenty of trackdays and it does both without falling apart. Over in the UK you would get a newer bike for the same money might be worth the shipping?
 
I was thinking that but I wouldn't where to start looking for people to ship
 
Fly over and ride home maybe, wouldn't like to buy something that I haven't seen. Could sound like a bag of spanners
