Managed to spend some quality time on the tuono,nice wee fast blast on Saturday keeping it kind of local just in case then a lovely wee hurl up north to the Green Welly for a cup of tea then home again without any problems at all:thumbup
Happy days!! Even managed to get the inch thick ****** lines off the rear tyre.
 
is 300 miles without a breakdown good, are these bike not that reliable then i hope they are wouldn't want to have brought something thats gonna breakdown every five miles?
 
Don't let me put you off... I have had a few problems since buying mine on e bay while drunk!!!
A worthwhile investment is an AA recovery membership just in case...
Hopefully I have all the wee problems sorted now.

The bikes are mainly reliable, they have a few quirks, as do most bikes.
As most manufacturers there will be the odd ****** in the woodpile.
Look at BM's - the R1200GS has numerous problems with fueling, electrics & final drive. Have a look on 1 of their forums, it will make you feel a lot better about your choice of bike
 
Think of it like a good woman.

Quite high maintenance, but when you screw the arse of it, the ride of your life it makes it all worth while.

Be careful though, as they both can get you in the end.
 
8000 miles on my 03 with no issues whatsoever. Did need suspension freeing & new disks for last MOT though.
 
If you go onto the other channel (tuonoworld) there is a section there on things you need to know about tuono's
my old 'un has 23k on it now with only minor (irritating problems) so don't be put off.
 
23k on my 58 plate and apart frae the usual wee issues that all Ts suffer nae biggies an the bikes solid. The thing jist need tae be ridden an jist runs better the mair miles ye pit on it.

Not into the "will the bike get me home this time" type of rides, why ma T's up for sale……great that you got 300 trouble free miles, thats almost 300 times more than Ive had lol.
 
Such a shame WG. Did about 300 miles today for the umpteenth time in a day.

They aren't all the same but obviously some are not right :no
