Just spent an hour soldering all the indicator wires together along with a PROPER led relay and the flash rate is perfect but:jack they all falsh...... all fecking 4 of them:angry

What have I done wrong now with this fecking bike.

Tim

i was going to be a smart azz and say to you were going to keep your options open about which direction you were going to go when you used your turn signals,

but that would be an azzhole comment!

i may have to follow your lead and try this.

Hey stop copying me!!

First of all its the oil jet and now its the indicators lol

ps Ive done my oil rad cover and it looks cool

you got a pic of you oil rad cover, i was kind of curios as to see what the ones for our older bike looks like.

you got a clean bike.

If that don't work AREESSMILL, get a Motrax l.e.d relay. I went down the ballast resistor route and nearly pulled my fecking hair out buddy!! Then some kind chap pointed me in the direction of the Motrax. Dunno anything about electic, wiring etc.... but this bad boy sorted everything out!! perfect flash rate and on the correct side!!!

really!!!!!

I am not really confident in touching the wiring harness :jack

Did all your LEDS flash at once and the on screen dash light didi not work??

Thanks

Tim

Tim buddy, i had alot of help with mine from a mechanic pal so didn't delve into the harness myself either!! From what i remember (having tried to block the b*astard experience out my small mind!!) When the inline ballast resistors were fitted all indicators lit up ASWELL as the indicator on the dash, no flasjing at all!! My pal then changed a few of the resistors (in what way bud i couldn't tell you) and we then got all flashing but at the same time again, including dash. We quit then and i ordered the Motrax (approx £25 i think). This slotted in and worked from the off buddy, could've slung myself under a bus!! Worked 100% since with no issues whatsoever bud.....:thumbup

The dash bulb doesnt light up and all the bulbs falsh like they should but they are like hazard lights all 4 come on at the same time. poxy things

Tim, they're a f*cking nightmare mate. They do look the part when up and running tho so don't give up the ghost just yet. I'll speak to Chrichton (my mechanic dude, i know it's a peach of a name eh??!!) and get some info for you bud. Get it posted on here tomorrow.....

Cheers Andi M8

I ve ordered some diodes so ask him if the mod that AF1 posted sounds right.

Nice One

Tim

Will do, but i'm 95% sure that's the exact route i went down (i ordered all the parts myself) and caused me real headache but i'll getan answer tomorrow buddy...

Tim,

You've done it all right so far, just need to do that last bit and add in those diodes.

Don't give in just yet, almost there.

That link on the installation of the diodes is spot on. Stops back feeding which is what you have now.

Not pissing on peoples parade here but I have led indicators front and rear with standard flasher unit and all works fine !!. Providing you use the correct sized load resistors across the indicator leads you wont have a problem :)
A lot of the "supplied" resistors are not of the correct resistance or wattage, there should be no need to fit diodes.

Alright Tim, just spoke to mechanic dude! OK, he fitted the diodes first, which caused all indicators to light up together and not flash. He then added the Motrax relayand tada!! Each side flashing at correct rate and time. There is a thread on RSVR.NET by spoonz which i followed which you could search for to help you along bud. Hope this helps Tim.

Cheers..........

Yeah Cheers Andi great stuff M8

My problem is that all flash at the same time and with the standard relay they light up but dont flash.

Ill put the diodes behind the clock to see if that works.

Cheers Again

Tim
