Power Commander

Can a PC3 loose its settings while it is on the bike and revert back to the base map? I assume it is fed off the battery.

The reason I ask is because I started the bike after a 1.5 month lay off and it was back firing quite a bit, which it didn't do when it was remapped.

I have a back up CD of the map so its not an issue, was just wondering more than owt else!!!

(And yes I am starting to wish I had just left it alone)

Dan mate, as far as i'm aware (asked Dynojet themselves) disconnecting the battery all together will not affect the map stored on the PC111. Dunno how/why but it just stays on it. You have to manually over-ride the installed map to clear it.....clever wee things!!.................:thumbup

Good news. So I wonder why the bloody thing had flames coming out of the exhausts LOL

Pass on that one dude....:dunno.....bet it looked good though ! !.....:thumbup

It look mental, trouble is I am more worried about the damage it is causing.

Ahhh Feck it, it will do for scaring old ladies!!!

What was the weather like when you had the map done Dan? When I had mine mapped I was told, and as Aus has said when getting his mapped, the ambient temperature/humidity of the day you have it mapped does make a difference.

I was out on mine yesterday and it was popping on the over run far more than usual, but i'd hazard a guess it was down to the fact that it was getting a healthy dose of cold fresh air which would affect the air/fuel and hence the popping.

Some people would pay good money to have flames :D

It was a red hot summers day.

When I tried it was a freezing cold damp day.

Therefore there maybe some mileage in what you are saying!!!
