I've just had my bike put from Map 1 to Map 2 and it feels a lot nicer, how much difference would a power commander make to how the bike feels ? Is it really worth the £300 to get one ?

Cheers for any advice, i did have a quick look through the forums but didnt notice any questions relating to a '08 bike.

personally i dont think there worth 300 quid if your not racing, i would spend the cash on suspension service and tyres,

They will always improve the fueling over the Aprilia map because the oem map is generec to all similar engines yet every one will be slightly different in what it needs fueling wise.

Me personally i think you need to have done a few other bits to get the most from a pc3. (airbox/exhaust etc etc.)

I had one on my 2000 Mille but never bothered on the 04 Factory and once on Map2 i can't say i really felt the need. It will clean it up a bit but i always had something better i could spend £300 on. Bear in mind you probably have a decent chunk of Dyno time on top of that.

A generic map from dynojet will be a waste of money. It needs a dyno session.

I have one fitted and custom map installed ('00 model with Renagade airbox, devil can) and noticed straight away that it was different. Not so much in the power or torque (BHP up 6.5 and torque up by 8lb/ft) but the smoothness of the fuelling, not dips or snatchyness?? anymore and throttle response is way better, worth £300..........:dunno but def noticable.

Cheers, that idea is gone. Dont really want to go the airbox route as it will might knacker my warranty. Gilles rear set it is then :) ta
