power commander 3 fitting question?

if i fit my power commander 3 and run it with a zero map does that just run the std fuel mapping or does it run what ever fuel map thats being sent from the chip/eprom?
i have my pc3 which i can fit but i still have a few more mods i'd like to get out of the way before i get a custom map.
was wondering whether to fit it or just wait till i'm ready to go for the custom dyno set-up?
hope i've made sense...thanks for any help in advance:thumbup

It will run exactly as it does now, with no difference at all. It just means you are sending the info through it and it is not being asked to make any alterations. You may as well leave it until you have the custom map as it is only a few minutes to fit anyway. Make sure you have the oxygen sensor set to run with it or alternatively you can buy a oxygen sensor from dynojet that does the same thing but you only need one or the other not both, it's cheaper to set the bikes sensor with a dealers Axione tool it usually costs about thirty quid for them to do it.

i thought the oxy sensor was on the 04 bikes onwards??

You may be right I hadn't noticed it was a 2000 I am sure someone will post the answer soon though
