Bit of a sad question, but what do you polish your bikes with, Ive got the matt black finish and am a bit unsure whats best. I know its not the most technical questions but your help is appriciated!

:biggrin Well I will say stay away from wax..it gets in the matt finish and it is a bugger to get out.just from experance. i spelled that wrong any ways a good soap and warm water and a non terry towle.I did the teryy towle thing and it left bits of towle all over it.good luck hope it helped. good looking bike you have there though.d:thumbup

I think I read on a thread that people had used Mr Sheene to clean the matt paintwork.

Do a search on here and the AF1 forum too.

Auto glym sell a showroom shine (its a little like pledge) even works on the wheels.....one stop shop.

had mine in matt black for 4 years now and the best thing i've found so far by far is the likes of Mr Sheene-(Wash it,shami it Mr Sheene it)

:thumbupThanks guys for your help, i used to use mr sheene on all my other bikes but wasn't too sure with the bikes finish. At least i know where to start!

Booley, just to add if you want to give a satin finish to the black then Autogylm super resin polish is about the best i've found

I use AUTOGLYM Showshine, Slightly repels water which is good. doesnt leave a sticky or slimy touch to the skin.

Brings the bike up fantastic. :thumbup

will try get some pics tonight to show you if i can :biggrin

:thumbupThanks for the help, off to buy some. Some photos would be great!

I use it on my bike (gloss finish) and its the mutts

Worthless response by me and not a great deal to do with question asked, pub beckons me thinks :pirate

Contrary to all everyone is using, I use furniture beeswax polish, cheap and makes it shiny.

I've used Auto-glym super resin polish for years, but now i've just discovered Muc-off miracles shine (halfordsmormdirect from muc-off website). Man this stuff is good. Contains canubera wax (hardest wax known to man) with mixture of other stuff. Simply put on and gently buff off in about 45 seconds. I've put a few coats on now and the shine is getting deeper and deeper........

I tend to use Romanian.
They tend to work a little cheaper but I have to stay gard :nana

I use flash mutisurface and glass for the matt paint, it works a treat and only a quid at poundland which is a bonus!!
