What difference does it make what I do for a living? :confused
I would suggest that a 'normal' member of society would agree that this 'community justice' is not a great idea. :dowhat Me being one of them.
Its pointless getting into a massive debate. You've said your bit, I've said mine. Should be end of story. :thumbup

I didn't say I agreed or condoned the reprisal, I would say that I consider myself to be a normal member of society, sometimes justice gets done in strange ways.
It didn't help he picked on easy targets, all of who worked close to each other.
The fact that nothing was ever done about it, speaks volumes.
What goes round, comes round. Finally, all I will say is coppers never seem to be off duty do they?
End of.:no

I don't want to go into something completely different as this is someone's thread, but...

I'm sure the speed limit was dropped where you mentioned as people were going too quick? I guess there would have been signs displaying the new limit? I think it is completely irrelevant that it was dropped the day before people got caught. :yes

We all drive/ride quicker than we should If we get caught then who's fault is it? The government for introducing the speed limit? Plod for enforcing it? The bike manufacturer for making such quick machines? Or could it be the driver/rider for going faster than he/she should be? I feel its the latter. If I ever get caught speeding then it will be my own fault, nobody else's. :dowhat

know it well mate, what with it only being 10 miles from me, great cheese as well !!
word of warning though it's slippy as **** tarmac, my mate dropped his mint repsol blade there !!

Been there many times before, used to live in Polzeath, Cornwall. The person in the photo is my Mrs, I'm behind the camera! It wasn't slippery last time we were there but I nearly hit a sheep stood in the middle of the road.

Wiskin this whole saga smells... of ********... and before biting my head off... here's the arguement!
1) not s.4 but s.44 terrorism act... why the coppers detained you.
2) s.44 was deemed illegal by a european court in Feb 2010, more than a year ago!
3) s.44 has been repealed in March 2011, and substituted with s.47A

S.47A ask for authorisation before being detained... it will be interesting to find out who authorised it!
Any half decent 1st year law students could pull this apart, without even breaking a sweat...

That is, if the events happened in the first place. so yeah this one is free and it is on the house!

I won't bite your head off, everyone's entitled to their say, this is an open forum. Firstly. I know it is section 44 not 4, someone already corrected me, I write on this forum using my phone so I make mistakes with my fat fingers quite easily. Secondly, this happened before march 2011. Somebody else mentioned a police issue so I thought I'd share mine, having never really had any problems with the police that weren't a direct result of my own actions, I didn't feel I deserved it.
As for being a decent first year lawer, I am not. I'm a marine engineer and no nothing of the law.

Wiskin even if happened before March 2011 you could still pull it apart mentioning the european court ruling!

I am a telecom engineer... a quick google search revealed a page from wikipedia! Google surely is your friend!

I try to go to H's as many Mondays as I can but me and the Mrs are usually up there weekends and everything. Her Dad owned it when it was Fox's so been going for years. I'll be there definitely this Monday if you fancy it?

I was taken to Swindon police station so that must be Wiltshire.
