Hi fellas just got of the phone to rsvnet, reference upgrade for the back brakes I'd ordered, they can deliver the caliper, heat shield and pushrod but no master cylinder till the 27th of August. The problem I've got is that I'm posted to Germany before the parts can arrive and my back brake is non existant, but I need it to pass the mot over there:confused. Is there anyone on the forum that is breaking a bike or has a spare master cylinder they would like to sell just to get the bike through the test please. You would be doing me a massive favour and it would be greatly appreciated, thanks fellas for reading :biggrinDave.

I have got a spare rear master cylinder that you could have but it is for an 02 model. Will that fit?

I'm told a GSXR M/c fits and solves the problem. Not sure which years nor have i tried it myself.

relocating type rearsets is 100% fix. I can lock my wheel any time any speed

Cheers Black Sabbath, but I haven't got a clue wether that would fit or not??

Can't you bleed current set-up as per directions on this very forum, to get it through test. Mine's usually non-existant apart from just before & just after MOT's. half hour job including taking the bodywork off. Even if you get it only partially sorted the adjuster on the pedal should help get enough to pass the test.

Believe me mine had been bled from every angle with power bleeders or not and by 3 dealers in every aprilia suggested method whilst it was in warranty and it never lasted beyond a few hundred miles.

100% same parts on rearsets and 100% fixed.

Some people may get theirs satisfactory but not mine. when it had pressure it felt like a block of wood.

What rearsets have you got fitted please spoonz? Do they mount the BC upright and too the rear of the peg? Cheers

gilles. M/c sits vertical but more importantly it's in airflow.

as per flash harry Badgers bike. There is a mk2 version which varies slightly.

Very tidy that looks too.........hope to do something similar when have some free pennies that don't get spent on tyres or petrol!

Cheers fellas think I'll have to bleed it again like you said and start a fresh when the parts are in. The set up you have spoonz looks really good, does that only fit with gilles rearsets??

Gilles or Sato

Sato a little cheaper but 1 less colour choice and you need a different brake light switch.

Thank you very much for showing us your setup sir..very nice indeed...as you say cylinder & brake fluid rez. in the wind and cool :thumbup I like very much..might have to save up some coin for that little project myself. Cheers n Respects
