Hi, I've seen these Pipe Werx cans on ebay and searched the forum but only one person has asked about them and had no responses. Has anyone got a set and if so any pics? Also are they good quality and what do they sound like. They look pretty good in the photo's and they are stated as road legal.

£200 for a carbon fibre can with link pipe and strap followed up by a lifetime guarantee.

Who can beat that then?

They sound pretty good on this R... R.... sorry I just can't type it. It's here - Click Me

Hi Mate, At last a reply! I was beginning to think I was being shunned or these things must be so God damn bad no one would admit to having them. I've been looking at all the usual makes that everyone lusts over but these really caught my eye. Just thought there would be a few guys on here who already had them so I could get a bit of feedback and see some pics. Come on lads surely there are a few of you out there??

Don't know anything about these but I'd be very cautious about putting a carbon-only can on a V-twin. My Blue Flame is carbon over titanium - chances are carbon by itself won't last. That seems to be the general consensus anyway.

Yeah, read quite a few posts on many forums in which the RSV's have destroyed carbon cans.

Make sure that it's a lined can and not just pure CF, if it is then let's hope their lifetime guarantee fund is well topped up to pay all the warranty claims.

This company is not new though they have been around for 30 years and a business that survives that long should have ironed out the niggles, wouldn't ya think!

To echo others sentiments, my mate had CF microns on his tl1000r, and it blew the seals out, followed by all the packing material over the corse of about 6 months. Plus high temperatures can discolour the carbon and make it look yellow.

But I like the look of those powder black ones, Looking at the company website seems they mostly specialize in cars and custom jobs.

I would never fit a carbon can to my rsv, unless it is proven in real world use to stand up to it (eg akra, scorpion etc even then only if its carbon over titanium sleeve) As has been said, the power pulses from a big twin can literally blow carbon cans apart. Especially on an older (i prefer 'classic' :biggrin) ape, as this is even worse due to all that pressure from two pots being exerted through a single can. Obv entirely up to you but i wouldn't wanna chance it.

Thanks Guys I will stay away from the carbon cans.

Send them an email mate and ask them if it's lined, if it's not lined will they warrant it under the guarantee if the carbon fibre breaks up due to exhaust pulses?

i fitted a pair of pipewerx exhausts to my yamaha fjr1300 they look great and sound fantastic and areroad legal why pay for top brands when these tick all the boxes.

Hi m8 , if you want a carbon can then go for it i have a freind of a freind that makes the carbon for mtc cans and as i had the same problem with carbon cans on my old sv1000(blowing a hole in it) i asked him and he says if you change the packing once a year then there will be no problems, also Bigchan1981 on the forum has a pipewerx coloured titanium ,on a ride out earlier this year had a good look and listen at it and i can (no pun intended)tell you that they are very well put together and sound lush so go for it m8 as long as you like to drill rivets and re rivet the can, hope this helps......

I have one on my rsv(not carbon though) I can't fault it in anyway.sounds good, even better with the db killer removed.

I think I'm the guy who asked, I did some further research and found very favourable reviews, so bought one of the street legal ones.

Much lighter, sounds awesome (especially sans baffle) and seems to run a little better too (might just be a placebo effect though - sounds better, but maybe isn't faster!)
:)

Either way, with a lifetime guarantee surely you can't go wrong!
