Pillion Seat Pad 2000 RSVR

Thanks to some great work by kiwi_rsvr (this guy really knows the RSV!!), I am glad to say that we were able to swap over our rear subframes on the weekend. He got the lightweight 2000 rsvr subframe and I have a happier mrs as she is one step closer to being able to ride on the back of the new bike.

One problem though, the seat pad initially included by the guy who sold me the bike just doesn't fit. I have a feeling that the guy who had it previously must have tried to set up a pillion seat but failed miserably and only managed to get the rear footpegs on. He probably ordered the wrong seat and then realising he needed a new subframe gave up.

Anyway, that means that I have to get a rear pillion seat for a 2000 RSV Mille. If anyone has one out there that they are willing to sell, please let me know. There are a couple on ebay that I am watching but always happier to buy from the forum, so let me know. I am aiming to get it before this weekend hopefully so I can go for a ride.

Actually ordered one from Ken Urwin. £50 plus p&h. Not bad as the ones on ebay were going for around £50.

Cheers Kiwi. Actually got home ok. Not a bad run and the front forks were ok. Took the RSVR in to Southern Cross yesterday to get a Ohlins rebuild. Fork were pretty much gone. Needed new headstock bearings too. Will pick it up today.

I am still on the lookout for a rear seat for the RSVR Really sucks. I now have two seats! Both of them are for the 2001 -2003 models! The breaker assured me the one he sent me was off a 2000. Chatted to him for ages about it but in the end it was the wrong one. The part number begins with AP and not DSI.

CAN ANYONE OUT THERE HELP ME??

I would really appreciate it.

By seat base, are you refering to the subframe or the actual seat pad? I have the subframe fitted but I am after the right seat to fit onto the subframe which needs to come from a 98-00 bike.
