Hello all.
Just thought I'd say hello. Picked up my 09 R on Sunday. I traded in my 04 Falco & thought that they wouldn't be too different apart from the riding position.
Well, you know what thought did!
Quicker, flickier, (made up word but seems fitting) comfier, fantastic front brake, sounds better, but not put together as well as the SL. Clocks misted after 5 mins, got some rusty bolt heads, but hey ho.
But the smile. Oh the smile. Face still aching. Booked a trackday at Mallory on the 20th to get to know her better. Me & a few others have our yearly pilgrimage booked to a Euro MotoGP. Mugello this year so need to get a few miles in to really bond. Can't wait.
Anyway. Great looking forum.:thumbup
Ciao for now.

Be careful with the right handed traction control when you get to the track. We dinnae want you visiting the kitty litter like a couple of us have done!

My grin started the summer of '07..... It's STILL there!!! Welcome tae the club, manni!!

Thanks for the welcome guys.

Strewth. Some of you post really early, or late, depending on your nocturnal habits.

I'll be trying to take it steady shvlheadwolf. But you know what it's like.

Just hope my "ambition does not out weigh my talent". Now, where have I heard that before?

Ciao.

My last *oops* was the end of the day, street pressure, cold tires, tired rider, and trying to get a little more exit speed out of turn one...

******

And given that many here are from the auld cuntry, and some of us are Colonials (you sound like yer from dan undah, Strewth!)... The postings are varied timelinewise... I do a lot of posting early in my day as it coincides with my mates in Scotland and the fuds in England as they have an evening pint and destress from the day...

Ah. I see.

Well, I'm a fud then, I guess. I live in the Middle of England near Coventry.

I'll watch that last session as the last time I was at Mallory, banging down through the SL's box into Edwina's, got into a rear end slide that Casey Stoner would of been proud of, filled my leathers with fear & retired to the paddock to contemplate my over enthusiasm (tiredness & lack of concentration / talent more like). Smoked a ciggy & went home!

Still the best fun you can have fully clothed though.

Ciao.

AE09T,....unusual handle,..is that the first few digits on yer no. plate?
Enjoy yer T and welcome to the nuthouse.

Cheers guys.

You got it Keith B. But not the T. The T is for Tuono. Not origonal I know but it's easy to remember & all the cool handles are taken.

Ciao.

Well mines a year newer and its AE10.It came from Taz in Peterborough.

Just checked the paperwork & yep, it was a Taz bike.

Fitted crash bungs this Sat in readiness for Mallory. Hope I don't use them! Managed to get out for an hour on Sun so that's 2 x 1 hour rides & then onto Mallory this Friday.
Can't wait & still grinnin'.

Ciao.

Enjoy the track day dude. Scary stuff, mines a Taz bike too with an AE08, maybe we'll just say that AE's are the cool bunch, lol.

Mine is a white one also.

As white is the "new black", does that mean that ours are now the fastest colour?

mines got blingy gold bits so its kinda the fastest colour then.

It seems as though TAZ are really punting out the Ts
