Picked Up My First Tuono Yesterday; Loud!

Well, I took the plunge yesterday and bought a sweet 2007 black and gray Tuono. Only 12,500 miles on her and she looks to be in great shape. The bike came with aftermarket mufflers made by DanMoto. I've never heard of that brand, but they are mostly carbon fiber. Really light and really loud.

I put the silencing inserts into them but it's still too loud. I live in a condominium and I certainly won't make any friends starting the bike up in the early morning when I go to work. So I reluctantly removed the noise makers and installed the stock exhaust. It now feels like I neutered the beast, as it no longer has that deep intoxicating rumble.

My question to you all...

Is there an aftermarket exhaust the sounds deep and throaty, but has a relative low volume level? My thought is to sell or trade the DanMoto cans and buy something that won't piss off my neighbors so much.

I have akrapovics on mine , their reasonably loud without the baffles in not too excessive tho .

there is provision to fit baffles , but I don't have any .i like to make a bit of noise .

well done on your purchase by the way .

dan moto cans are Chinese made items and are reasonable looking quality , I have one on my gs thou wes cooley rep !!

Welcome, I have arrows on mine and a nice balance that doesn't piss the neighbours off on start up but the wife can hear me coming home from work when I am approaching the village :lol

I have Leo Vince with map 2 on my 07' and she has a nice low end rumble while warming up and I can keep her tame while leaving the neighborhood but she has a sweet sound when you open her up!

I had an 01' Mille with Acropovic and she had a gnarly growl.

I have heard other APE's with the Arrow system and they sound very tame, mostly a low rumble.

I've got akrapovic slip-ons and think they are pretty mild sounding, not overly loud.

had a full termi system on my old bike (07 hypermotard) and it was way louder, but also way more throaty/deep sounding. I like my tuono much more but wish it sounded like the duc
