I know this question has probably been around the forum more times than herpes did back in the 60's. But once again i will be an anoying little scab that just keeps coming back.

I have already decided on a PCIII and and evo airbox kit, and i will get a custom tune. The pipes i have on are the titanium aprilia racing pipes are they good enough or should i be looking around for the ako's like everyone else has.

By the way my bike is an rsvr1000 2004, and for anyone who can remember i have finished fixing my bike. And i coudnt be happier 2 track days later i ride to work most days, ride on weekends. I just dont wont to get off it.

Thats why with my performance upgrades i dont wont to loose the ride ability on the streets, and i need more for the track.

One big thing for me is. Are the mods likely damage the engine or are they relatively safe to do?

Cheers guys

I have the TI race pipes with the TI chip also..is a great combo IMO.
Evo airkit has just arrived from the states and will be fitted very soon...then i will fit a PC111 and go looking for all its got. Running 16/44 sprockets.
This setup has already made my arms 2" longer :pirate

With the sprokets im not sure what i have on now i assume it standard. Does it make much difference changing. I once again assume to give more acceleration and loose top speed.

You lose very little top end matey..makes the bike way more friendly round town as the std 17/42 is way to tall. Acceleration is up to the exciting stage no problemo. I weigh 85Kgs and it will lift front into a nice smooth wheelie under acceleration any time yer wanna dial it on. ( real keen to try a 15 just to make myself **** a brik or two) Besides..who needs 170 mph top end..its how yer get there that makes my clock tick :pirate

Well i cant see my self topping my bike out any time soon, im still getting used to it. And come to think of it i will probably never have the balls or tallent to do the bike justice. But that wont stop me spending money on performance mods.

So it sounds like sprockets are a must then?

Should i change my sprokets before i get the tune or it wont matter?

Definately change sprockets as the first mod. matey..this alone makes the bike superb..then go for power mods. Sprockets are a must..i think most on here have done this also, and would agree, No.1 mod. :thumbup

...and cheap as chips too, down one and two up at the back suits all milles, then fit an evo/renegade airbox, pc111, quickshifter and slipper clutch and off ya go!
ck

Only up to the EVo box at this point..PCIII next on the list...is the shifter street friendly or only really shows its class on the track CK? The clutch speaks for itself..a very nice addition.

Undertaker, go 15/42 on gearing for your model 2004 RSVR. It'll be the best mod you'll do

Then i will start looking for that, any suggestions on brands where to purchase etc. Or should i just do the usual look on ebay till i find something.

Thanks very much as well.

all good sprockets but dont last five minutes as rear ones ally, i've always used super sprox rear sprockets as they last ages and look trick, main part of sprocket is gold ally with black steal teeth, got a 41t rear on my 05 factory just waiting for my 15t steel afam front sprocket to arrive. noticable difference just going 1t extra on rear......

have a look on super sprox website i'm pretty sure you can buy sprockets direct from them.

Aus, I'll take a trip to the post office tomorrow to find out how much it'll cost to send that 15t 520 pitch front sprocket to you.

If it's under a £10 I take it's a go then?

One thing I ask is that you get someone to video your face the first time you ride it with the 15t sprocket fitted, sure it'll be a huge great cheesy grin.

Thanks for taking the time mate..yes if post is possible under 10 pound, i think that converts to around AU $ 22.00 and you wanna get rid of it, i will put it to use. In aussie they go for around 26-28 dollars. Cheers matey.
PM me when you are ready. Aj :thumbup
I'll do my best to get some video organised if possible for sure. :eatcorn
