Having put an after market exhaust on a couple of months back , I wondered if I need a powercommander. I always thought the ecu adjusted to compensate for any changes eg air filters cans etc. I'd fitted one on my 929 fireblade with a custom map but couldn't honestly feel much difference although the graphs showed differently.

Yeah , seen a few threads about these chips . Theres some also on ebay from germany but not to sure about those. Do I just let him know the year of bike , end can and filter etc for him to find the correct chip , and are they expensive ?

I bought mine not long after joining the zone, dont know how much he charges for them now but i wouldnt get one from anywhere else. send him a PM with your bikes details and he will sort you out with one.

Ok pal , just sent him a PM so lets see what he says about it all . I've not told him the details yet just asking about the chips for now.

Youre not thick and the 2nd gen RSV 2004> doesnt use an eprom, you have to get it put onto map 2 by a dealer or Griff. If you want anymore after that then its got to be a PC III.
As you posted before, these chips are for pre 2004 1st gen RSV's only.

no eprom?

another thing I've learnt today

Bryan, you have done what you need to already by fitting a PC111 and having it mapped to suit your mods, no eprom for your bike mate

Cheers lads i thought i was missing something,i think ill just stick to building houses and let the profesionals at the bike!!!!!!

Well decided on a dr rossi chip so will be sending for it shortly hopefully . He seems a decent bloke to deal with.

I just got one last week. He's got a ton of knowledge on the bike in all aspects. I'm hoping to get good results from it as well.
