I've read, with great interest, the Griff article in PB this month and want to look into all of his suggested upgrades. So a couple of questions...

Who makes the airbox conversion kits (of both kinds - but particularly the type that keeps the oil catch)? What is the quality of the AP own brand rearsets like? I only want to put the best of the best of the best on my new pride and joy!

As for the R/Sets i think they are well worth the cash, better r/brake and smoother easier gear change, gets my vote! (Gen2 factory)

But are the AP ones the ones to go for, or are (for example) the Gilles ones of a better quality?

When you compare them side by side the Gilles are deffo better quality....BUT they are also £120 more expensive...so they should be....I have Gilles, and to be honest, they are not £120 better.
They both do the same job equally as well. All the premium brands, Gilles, Sato etc cost loads more.

Cool. Do the Gilles fix the rear master cyclinder mounting issue? I think, aside from the rear brake fix, the idea of rearsets (and the idea of moving the pegs downwards slightly - i'm 6'4") is one that I want to go for!
