passenger seat and pegs question

My 01' Mille with dual akro system I have decided needs a pillion seat and passenger pegs...I plan on fitting the pegs with spacers from the carbon exhaust hangers probably using rubber grommets to avoid scratching them. I have attached a pic...I'm not really sure even with the modification to the mounting point that they will fit, maybe someone here can tell me..
Also will 00-02 tuono pillion seat fit the 01'?

My question is are there any other pegs that will fit the rear subframe of my mille? The pegs I've found are pretty pricey and I'm wondering if there are any alternatives...Also if you happen to have a passenger seat or pegs you want to sell send me a pm' asap! :thumbup

everytime i post on here, I rarely get any responses...sorry if that sounds rash. Can anyone help me with this?

Does anyone possibily know if any other bike's passenger pegs would fit...I looks like a pretty standard spread.

why not make life easier and just buy another rsv with the seat and pegs already fitted, then you could alternate between which one you needed. :biggrin

Well firstly, the tuono rear seat won't fit as they're based on 2003 to 2005 model revised rear end. You need one from a 2001 or 2002 RSV Mille.

Secondly will the standard rear pegs and brackets not fit with the akra system?

yep the standard rear footrests will fit with the Akra system!

as for any other pegs ......fraid i dont know! never tried!

I was planning on using a soft type washer to avoid damaging the carbon and using a longer bolt into the subframe.

I'm wondering if the pegs from any other aprilia bikes may fit...falco anyone?

Look at Pete's Mille in my thread in the gallery - he has adapted some Falco rearsets to fit over the dual hangers

Dunno - I'll ask him, or PM him on here (petrol pete - look under the how to forum, HID Mod and he's definitely typed in there)

Need to grind a little piece out of the footpeg though so it will clear the can.
