the tuono i've just bought has been down the road and has chips and scuffs to the bikini fairing, tank, and seat unit and i was wondering if anyone on here has repaired their own bodywork and has any advice for me or can recommend a cherap paintshop that could redo the lot in the blue and white check standard colours as mine's just a plain blue one. thanks

Your bike is a 2004 isnt it? The blue/white chequered did not come in until the Gen2.
Standard colours for the '04 were,fluro red,black or silver,....they never made a blue Gen1.
I would have thought that any local car bodyshop could give the paint work a spruce up.You could then add decals to finish the job.Loads to choose from on the net.

Dont know where your based, but Motobuild at Burscough in lancashire are excellent for custom or standard finish paint.
They repaired a CBR 600 for me a few years ago.

Lumpy,
I have managed to "scuff" the tank on my dominator while I was greenlaning.
When I say scuff, it does not hold as much petrol as before.

A big rock saved some minor damage to the rest of the bike by holding it off the ground by the tank.
I never did like spending all that money when I filled it up.

Any chance of the names / numbers of these painters & I may be able to get it fixed, I am not far from Sunderland area.

It was at the IOM, I will post details / photos on a new thread. Nowt to do with Tuonos though.

i'm in huntingdon cambs, and it is deffo blue and white so might have originally been an import?

All right Olaftuno . Give Graham a ring at Car and bike magic on 0191 5480909 . At Riverside road just of Wesinton way .

That's not the original paint, there is some way of telling off the frame number what the original colour was.
