Just looking at my bike and thinking of getting it painted. As it is but a tidy up and replace some decals.

Any ideas on some cheap painters? before you all start shouting out, not intrested in places like Dream works as the budget will not fit for them :biggrin

its going to be for the odd panel etc:thumbup
 
hi mate, i have a friend who i know from the trade. i recieved a scratched panel as of late and for him to plastic repair it and re-paint the middle panels and lower panels cost me IRC £70

it might be a trip for you over to chesterfield, but might be well worth it :thumbup let me know if i can help more

Can this Dickwad get Flashy yellow paint :dunno I have 2 panels and a nose section needs re-spraying. I bought a spraycan from an e-bay shop and redone the side panels and bought another nose fairing off ebay.

The spray paint was the correct colour but it looks **** done by hand :biggrin

hes currently doing a yellow one at the moment
 
managed to get some rubbing compound today. using some 2500 paper the compound and bit of polish I have the marks out :)
crapping my self with the sandpaper. doesn't seem right using sandpaper to get a good finish!?!?

Pat good find. he had that bike on ebay last week selling the full fairing then he took it off, guess he thought he would break it first then sell the bits.

If I brought some fairing then it would be 01 onwards and to save some pennies it would be in a **** state :)

no probs

heres what mine is having

carbon belly pan with a satin pearl silver (aprilia lettering in carbon)
Nose cone (rsvr one) & air ducts & tank (rsvr one) in a blue pearl
side panels, rear fairing shroud both rsvr spec in fluo red

and my wheels are going off to be done nera red
