Painfull 6 weeks.

Its been a long wait for my 00 mille but all being well she will be ready in 5 days time :drool:woohoo, 6 WEEKS HAVE PAST and the only thing that has kept me sane is that it has been crap weather so i havent missed out on too much and the fact that ive still got a bike to blow away the misery of 6 weeks of wanting the black beast back.

How can it be that after owning many bikes that ive got the bug so bad for a mille v twin :dunno, i guess a lot more on here feel the same way although it could be something to do with owning in line 4s for far too long . My old bike zx12 was and still is a fantastic bike, it does everything you need but ive got no passion to ride it after riding the mille and the fact that the zx12 really aint mine is always in the back of my mind .
The day will be soon and sorry for ranting on but ive got a passion to explore and keep and the mille has given me just that :yes.

Thanks for all the folks who have too kept me sane through the thick and thin , hope to meet up soon :thumbup

Will do :thumbup, although i may not be seen for some time when i pick her up come rain or shine :thumbup. Some seriouse modding is going to be dealt with at long last but for now im just going to enjoy my new ownership once more :thumbup

I do agree though, the Aprilia V-twin bug is amazingly strong :coocoo
I honestly can't recall being as excited as I'm now. My mom dropped me off at the bike shop yesterday, she thinks I'm completely nuts !! :laugh
I pointed my bike out to her (which they were prepping for me)..
"That's not your bike, now is it?!?? But honey, how on earth are you going to reach the handlebars?!?? Where does the gasoline go? What's this for? (pulling my hump :rant :laugh)"

she cracked me up :laugh But all ended well, I paid her a visit this morning to prove everything is juuuuust fine :thumbup

Still all being well it will be a good day and even better with the black beauty at home , spit and pollish and loads of solvo then maybe the air box mod given time :thumbup

And then she says to me :"Wait until you've got a daughter who runs off on a bike like that, then we'll talk again!"

True enough.. I'd be very worried!!! :scared :laugh

Oh well, she's got nothing much to worry about with me though.. I've got nothing to prove nor excessive testosterone flowing through my veins.. I'm a pretty responsible slightly nutty gal, it could be much worse :laugh
 
Hope you enjoy your bike as much as im going to enjoy mine :yes,its getting close now.... only 4 days now and ill be shooting off ... i mean ill be riding within the speed limits to pick her up :devious. " Must control the erge to ride it like i stole it " :yes.

All said an done ill just be happy to get home in one piece after going through a couple of tank fulls of petrol, then again at £1.00 a litre maybe not.

Fekin rip off britain eh , id love to move to the USA anyday :thumbup

Should be picking it up sometime tuesday, the weather here is very cold with salt on the roads and rainy but that wont stop me having a bit of fun :thumbup. That is of course if they actually phone :mad1, if they dont im going to start complaining of the poor service, anyway fingers crossed and thanks for the reply :thumbup

Oooh dear, as I sit in my office looking out the window at the pissing rain in South Northants, I hope you still get a grin going on the other side of the County when you pick yer bike up!! :thumbup:biggrin:thumbup
 
I don't think he'd care much about the weather as long as he has his baby back :thumbup
 
One day ....one day :dunno:bawling:bawling:bawling, me thinks maybe the bike was so good that all the honda gang have been riding it for 7 weeks and wont give it back :pirate
 
As another of the Northants Possy I don't think the weather could have been much worse today mate. Still, take your time riding it home then you can spend hours cleaning and pampering it!!

I keep thinking of little jobs to do on mine just so I can go in the garage and stare at her :love
 
Hopefully saturday will be the grand day i ride her home :thumbup
