Paddock Stands

O

Ozzie

Can anyone confirm that when the T is parked up over winter or long periods of time, it is best to place on both front and rear paddock stands. I'm not sure where I read this or who told me.

i put mine on two, just cause ah've got them, some folf go on aboot flat spots on tires if it sits ower long, but none o ma mates hav ever experienced it, maybe it means if its sittin fir mega long time, a widnae rush oot tae buy wan if yeve no got wan ll,,,,,oo and as above, trickly charger is a deffo must,

Last year I simply put mine away and did my normal thing of firing it up to temp every 2 weeks or so depending on the weather. As mine lives in the dining room over the winter months and the other half moans if I fire it up in the house, I have to wait for a dry day. This year however, I've invested in a trickle charger, as for £30 it's cheaper than a new battery :)

MInes on a rear stand just because I've got one, with an optimate on, and covered by an old sheet to keep the dust off.

I just pull the battery and keep it in the house until spring, then a long trickle charge. With temps dipping into the -40s C if I left the battery out in the bike it would freeze solid. I also make sure that the Antifreeze is topped up and fresh to keep from cracking anything. Looking for heated storage this year, though.
