Hi,
I have just put a new battery in my 2006 tuono, When I start it, it is idling at over 4000 revs, I left it running for a while to see if the revs drop but it doesnt. This is the first time it has been running since the summer. Any help would be much apreciated.
Cheers
John.

There's no choke as such, and don't go altering throttle settings.
Have you been into diagnostics to check for fault codes?

Could be stepper motor, throttle position sensor, in fact loads of things.

Before you do anything, check for loose or split air hoses. Esp. the thin ones to the left of the throttle bodies.

take it to your local dealer and get him to reinitialise the ecu !
this can only be done with a navigator or axone
thats unless the throttle is sticking obviously

I have this problem on my gen 2 after charging the battery. In my situation, one of the battery leads wasnt fastened tightly....which was perculiar because it was starting ok. Maybe try disconnecting and reconnecting the battery if you haven't already tried?
