I'm not planning the put the bad ones back however what would happen if you took the plates out for inspection and they were good and you put them back in a mixed order. Would they be okay? I know this might be a stupid question but I need that raffle air filter so bad! I mean I need to know the answer for my question. lol:eatcorn

If you want to increase your chances of winning the raffle then the easiest way is to become a subscribing member.

It's pretty cheap and ensures that the forum remains fully supported technically for the future RSV owners.

PS. Mixing up your clutch pack is bad news, can cause drag. Not that it will affect you as you had no friction material left on them anyhow.

PSS. Good luck with the raffle!!

Always removing and replacing in the same order is a good thing. I've only ever had to take 1 clutch out of a bike and I wrapped it in tape to keep the plates in order.
Just a common sense thing I guess.

as well as individual plate thickness you have to be wary of the overall stack height.

Too much and it will drag and too little it slips. A lot of used plates develop some curvature over time and tend not to mix with new flat plates.
You run the risk of wrecking your new plates for the sake of a few old ones and then have to start from scratrch.
