Optimate help needed

Unusual, this. The connector has come off my optimate lead. I can still connect it to the bike but does it matter which femail connector goes to which male connector - I guess it does. Is it possible to test with a multi meter for which is posative and which is negative?:dowhat

Does your Optimate not show you when you have inadvertently attached the wrong terminals.?

I had a similar issue to you a few years back and thats how I found out what lead is what.

It should be a small symbol on the bottom of your Optimate which lights up. Not sure if the newer models have done away with the LED Indicator

Mine has the LEDs but I havnt connected it for fear of damaging the battery. Thanks for your help Ill connect it when I get home.
