Afternoon Chaps

After years of abusing my body (not in the fun way) I have had to have a knee operation (ACL) which was followed by a nasty little infection. Anyway, long story short even after nearly a month of Psyio my knee doesn't bend as much as it should and is really hard to get on the T's pegs (right leg - and the rear brake is just a light switch but...)

I have had to save up for quite a while to get the bike I have wanted since they came out and I have almost got her the way i want her so really really don't want to sell her now - is there a better set of pegs I can invest in or can i do anything at all that can get me back in the saddle - its the only vice i have got left!

Sorry to hear about you knee Barron, I've a dodgy left one and been told I should have an op, but for reasons you've set out I'll put it off as long as I can. Don't think differnt pegs will help as they put your legs further back - more of a bend. How about extra padding in the seat to lift you that will straighten the leg? Try putting a small cusion on while in the garage and see if it helps

Thanks Chaps - in addition to my "pimp limp" i am also a borderline midget ( i know - I am quite the catch!) but recon i might be able to get away with some more padding - its a good shout, will keep my eyes peeled for those pegs.

Incidentally i dont know why i posted this in the pictures forum...... i suppose you can now officially add ***** to the list.....

Naw mucker yer jist another Fud.

Same as the rest of us.

Barron you have TV ratings written all over you... I get 5% off the top :)

Did you seek out quality P/T for that knee? I had that operation on my right knee and have a torn miniscus (I won't have operated on) in my left and only get stiff when it's really damp out. That's knee stiffness just to be clear :)
Maybe you just need a little more time and P/T. I've heard of replacements causing that problem but not a ligament repair. Mayhap the area is still inflamed. If so it may just be temporary.

Of course you could always wear a pair of pants that are half fallen down, a baseball hat askew, while your struttin' down the road with your pimp limp :yes

Jings cirvvens and help ma boab,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,we're doing medical shakedowns now.

Fookin Brill. :yes :thumbup

Damn! I came in here expecting to see a photo of a man's knee. The disappointment is without bounds.

Welcome and hope you get the bike sorted mate.

Mikkel - dont say we dont do anything for you!

And no that's not to scale, not really anyway!

I have long legs that don't fit in the tank cutouts on the standard footpegs.
I got some of these replacement footpegs that lower by 30mm. Vario Footpeg System

Pros: feet are lower, less ache in kees. Gear lever can be adjusted on the shaft spline to match the new foot position. Looks smart.
Cons: brake pedal cannot be adjusted, so you if ever do feel like using the rear brake, you have to lift your foot and search for it. Right boot heel sometimes touches the exhaust.
