Bad luck Gordep, I hope the bike makes up for it, just shows that there are robbing bas***ds everywhere.

No problem, I'm still here :yes

Goes without saying, I've never heard from them ( WrapnSend ) again... Their site no longer exists, so I'm guessing I wasn't the only one who wasn't pleased with their service :thumbdown

The Tuono is my pride and joy, no regrets whatsoever:

Still have to see / hear about another 2nd Gen Tuono here in Portugal, as far as I know ( and other Aprilia pals I know ), I'm one of the very few who has one...

Does anyone know if a seat cowl from a '05 RSV fit a '07 Tuono ?
I'm looking at the parts list for the Tuono ( http://www.apriliagenuineparts.co.uk/component-rsv-1000-tuono-2006-2008-rear-body-fairing-1773.php ) and I'm a bit confused about item #15 , the saddle cover base - this part doesn't come as standard on all Tuonos ? Where is the pillion seat attached then ?

Pedro,
seat cowl fits okay, got an 04 fitted to my 57 Daytona. welcome on board.

Start a new thread mate, you will get more replies.
Oh,..Shovely usually posts on "the other channel" these days.

Thanks. I got in touch with shovelhead via email and got the info I was looking for. Also, Keith you repiled on the other channel about the strong magnet theory possibily creating more current than the the stator could manage. This makes sense to me and was the first plausable explanation I had heard. I wonder if Aprilia has figured that out.
Ash, replied poor design, poor quality. Yea, that too.

KB, I'm not trying to diss yer mucker but if B wis tae put a search into the Af1 forum or even post a thread he might get the info he's seeking and the fix may be closer than here.

Welcome to the Zone Gordep

You will find a huge amount of information and friendly banter on here ... so wade in.

Might I also make an observation?

Considering you are from Portugal ... your gramma, spilling and overal level of littericy are all far higher than the majority of people on this Site

Cheers lads, haven't logged in for a while, but I really could use some help right now.

The Tuono isn't starting. I hit the starter button, it cranks once, then a second later it cranks again, and so on...

My 1st guess is the battery's gone. Although she occasionally sits on a battery tender, it's been more than a month since the T's been ridden, and as far as I know she still has the stock battery ( 2007 ! ), so that's my 1st guess.

I've read people choosing the YTX14 instead of the YTX12 Yuasa. Is it possible to mount the YTX14 and keep the plastic bracket that holds the inclination sensor in place ?

Hi Gordep,

Great to see your still enjoying your Tuono after 6 years! Apart from that though, best to start a new thread with any issues. That said... Here you have your own personalised thread, so why not! :)

Definately sounds like a battery, or possibly a starter solenoid problem. You can test you battery. Alternatively, if you short the solenoid terminals out with a sturdy screw driver, and the same problem occurs, it's not the solenoid, just the battery.

I think recent YTX14 batteries are smaller so should fit the standard clamp... but maybe a Gen2 owner can confirm that...

Thanks Paul :thumbup

So, can anyone please confirm if the battery size is still an issue with the YTX14 ?

Hello Gordep I just fitted the YTX 14 to my gen 2 and I had to cut the bracket but as ya bum sits on it its not going anywhere I think
