Oil not returning back to the tank

okay so this is a different issue so I opened a new thread, I hope this one also helps someone else in the future.

Symptoms:
Oil gets sucked down in the tank and doesn't return back in the tank after putting 5 quarts of oil in there.
Oil light is on and the Oil Level Tube doesn't show any oil
bluish whitish smoke comes out of the tailpipe when you give too much gas. No smoke on idle or half throttle

The Oil pump seems to work I started the bike without a filter and it gushes out oil I would say 5 gallons per minute without Oil Filter/Pressue. It looks like it's working.
I washed the oil filter and dried it and put it back it was filthy(can't go to the freaking shop at this moment) I will remove it to see if it's the filter. at that time can someone tell me why my oil might not return to the tank? what is clogged up? Can someone please post a diagram I cannot find it on the shop manual. thank you in advance! My date Awaits! Help! lol :devious

is 30 inlet and the 14 the outlet from the pump and the 13 overflow from the motor?
if so I'm gonna check out my oil cooler and bypass it if removing the oil filter doesn't help. cheers

In my tech manual it says that one oil pump pumps the oil down and around, and the other returns it back to the tank.

Plus i have a manual for the lubrication system, so pm me your emaila addy and i'll forward you a copy.

update

I recently removed all the hoses to my oil cooler and it runs in and out and the
Oil gets sucked down in the tank and it returns however the oil level tube never reaches even minimum
Oil light keeps coming back on every 30 secs and it wouldn't take off, it stalls. I kept it at idle and it stalled just before 200(198) fahrenheit.
bluish/whitish smoke doesn't come out much however it comes out a little when you apply the throttle more than half way.
The manual says it could be the oil pressure valve do you guys have any idea where that little monkey is located at?:dowhat

so it shoots plenty of oil from 31 and sucks from 12 and I don't think anything is coming from 13!!! I've been brain storming for hours like Einstein on Crack/Oil. lol and I think it's either the Oil Pressure Adjustment valve or the Hose on the top of the tank (13) I will check and see what's up with that monkey. Can someone comfirm the function of that hose (13)

Hi mate have you cleaned the filter on the end of item 12 if i change the oil on mine i all ways clean it did you not say in last post that a bit of gasket had come off it may have blocked oil way good luck on getting it sorted

My instinct is you have low oil pressure.

The oil system works with a high and low pressure side. The oil pump scavenges oil from the crankcase and feeds some at high pressure to the engine via the oil filter and the rest via a low pressure side directly to the oil cooler.

there is a pressure relief valve on the high pressure side which routes unfiltered oil directly back to the sump if the pressure is too high which if stuck open might be reducing the oil pressure. If effectively dumps the output from the pump straight back into the sump.

The smaller hoses around the oil tank are bleed pipes. They allow oil to bleed back from the top of the motor to the tank.

Me persoanlly i think you are playing a very dangerous game running the engine at all until you start looking more closely. Especially at anything above idle.
you say your oil/filter was very dirty ? any sign of metal in the filter/oil. shot shell bearings can often be the cause of low oil pressure and you will normally get signs in the oil. especially if your fond on hitting the limiter which rotax engines do not like big time.

Thank you so much Spoonz! :)

Where's the magical Oil Pressure "Adjusting" valve? thank you so much in advance

The valve is part of the pump itself. Effectively the unit is 2 pumps in 1 with an internal and external rotor giving a high and low pressure ouput.

The valve consists of a piston held closed by a spring and when the pressure is high enough to overcome the spring and push the piston back it opens the pump output back to the sump on the high pressure side.

There is a cap you can remove which will give access to the spring and piston but you will have to remove the pump to get to it.
The cap "MUST" be correctly loctited back on afterwards as well as it coming loose could get ugly.
