Hi all
Need some help please. Have a 2003 RSV Tuono Fighter which I love to bits!
Just changed the oil and filter for the first time, which wasn't too difficult. Emptied oil out through sump plug on bottom of tank and removed the magnetic drain bolt which was clean, and used a K&N 152 filter. Never had any real issues with bike since I'be had it other than its really hard for me to remove my bloody big grin whenever I'm on it!
Followed the instructions and put 3.5l of oil back in, ran the engine for a minute, then put other 200ml in. Engine ran fine on idle, oil light went out etc.
Took it out today for first time since, intending to do six or seven miles then back home to check levels. Ran ok for first four miles or so, then noticed it felt a little sluggish and noticed the oil light was on. Panic!
Tootled home as I wasn't far away, and checked level in sight tube. Too much clearly and was about an inch above maximum level. Let it go cold and its now at maximum level on tube. Started it up, sounds a little rough and oil light permanently on again still. Panic! Help please guys......any ideas? Could this have happened due to overfill? Should i remove some oil and try and run it again?
Cheers guys
