Hiya,

Just wondered if RSV's are prone to oil leaks? I've only owned my bike for 3 weeks but it seems I have a leak..... When the bike is stood after use it will drip 4-5 drops from the right hand side seems to be running from somewhere inside the fairing. The drips come down from the opening of the underside fairing. It is definately coming from the right hand side of the engine

Sure it's not coming out of the airbox overflow fella? If the motor's got as tad too much oil in it that's where it'll end up.

Generally, the Rotax lumps are leak free.

I had a similar leak a few weeks back, it turned out to the gasket for the rocker cover on my rear cyclinder, may be worth getting a torch and checking around the cyclinders, the new gasket was only £13 from my local aprilia dealer, i'm told its usually the front gasket that goes first so make sure you check them both.

Geoff.

Took the fairing off last night, the leak is coming from the Oil Pressure Switch. Expensive?

Not expensive and a known problem, If in the UK give Griff at A.P a call and he'll bosh one in the post for you.
