Oil Filters

Guys
I have a quick question.
At the moment I'm servicing a mate's haga rep and when it come to changing the oil filter he has one of the longer ones fitted.
The oil filters I have are the shorter ones.
If I put a shorter one in there will it cause major problems? :dunno
Should I try and find a longer one?

I think you'll find you need the correct end cap for the shorter ones, as when you upgrade to the longer filter you need to buy a new cap at the same time.

If you need one in a hurry, Aprilia in Wareham will have them on the shelf :thumbup

The long type is on the newer milles I think 2004 on :thumbupIf you fit the short one nothing will go through the filter just around the outside

Dont kow but I think will reduce oil pressure :dowhat
So just don't do it:biggrin

Sorry Mick, there are two types for the pre 04 Milles. The original shorter filter and an updated longer filter. I agree with you though, only use the right end cap with the right filter :thumbup
