Oil drain bolt wont budge!

C

crasher76

seems the last owner had bigger arms (or wrists!) than me, the main oil drain bolt next to the filter wont budge, the hex key is bending! I think I am using size 6, is this correct (before i round the bugger off!)?

cheers!

Just torque the ****** it wont brake, use a pipe or something to have more power.

Its always like that, it breaks hard, but when it pops, its out.

and replace it with a Honda unit that is a hex head not a ****** allen key head that can round off................dont ask how I know that.

you may need to put a round bar on it and give it a twak with a hammer to brake the lock and the are only supposed to be 12 newton metres of torque on these!

I believe the term used by PROPER engineers is ........**** it with a big hammer. :devious

RSVzone educating the masses. :thumbup

Tap a tight fitting allen bit(good 1/4 drive set)into screwhead .Connect to a tommy bar, pushing weight onto the centre of the bar,try to tighten to break any corrosion and tap with a small hammer. Now,loosen anti clockwise.
