Hi People i am new to this forum.
I have a Rsvr edwards rep 03 Plate, I have recently done a oil/filter change on it. The owners hand book said it takes nearly 4 litres to fill up is that correct?I put nearly four litres in but it started to overflow out of the sump.is there some secret way of doing this?also what is the best way to check the oil level?

Welcome fella. All the info you need is in the owners manual as it tells you how to do an oil change in there. The RSV V twin has a dry sump lubrication system, it's not like your typical Jap inline 4. Did you drain both the engine and the oil tank as there are two drain plugs to undo. Have a read here on oil changes

The only way to correctly check your oil level is to ride the bike for at least 20 minutes to get everything up to temperature, then stop somewhere safe and switch off the engine. Immediately hold the bike upright and check the sight tube. The level should be no more than 2/3 up the site tube. adjust as necessary
