Ive just been looking on the ohlins website and apparently the 98-00 and the 01-03 have a different spring. Any ideas if it would be safe to interchange these i.e one on the other and vice versa?

Thanks in advance!

as long as there the same diamiter? it should only be the weight of the spring thats different?? but you wouldnt wont to put a lighter spring on as it will afect the ride/handeling unless the one you have on is soft.

Cheers dude, there ohlins chart doesnt mention diameter but there both the same length. Different stroke though 56 vs 65. No idea what that means... lol

I did email Ohlins UK and they unimpresingly asked me for the shock numbers which I took from their own site then copied and pasted. I gave them the years of the models etc lol

stroke = strength?? im thinking one will be harder thats all?? if your heavy ie 20stone youll need the bigger one but from my exsperince being 19 stone the spring is heavy enough. i have a problem with front end cos im fat and tall!!!! forward momentum when braking??

The existing one looks a bit worse for wear mate. Ive just got a mail back from Ohlins saying the 2 will interchnge but the 01-03 is rated at 95nm and the 98-00 at 140nm! My more suited to my, erm, bulk. lol
