Folks,

Would the shock off any other bikes fit a 2006 Tuono R Gen 2??

Just looking around the bay and there are a lot out there such as ones off say a Ducati 749, i am thinking due to manufacturing costs and the like a lot of these shocks must be compatible, or do you believe they are all designed specifically for the one bike??

Thoughts as normal much appreciated.

Cheers
Mark

From the research I've done only gen2 to gen2 RSV/R - Tuono stuff goes straight in. You can pretty much get anything to fit but who wants to be cutting and welding. Once I've had more feedback from the guys in the know on here it will probably be the gen 2 factory ohlins for me unless advised otherwise

They may bolt straight on but i think that the length / spring & valving inside is specific to each bike..... ie even the one off a Gen 1 is not recommended for a Gen 2... am no expert tho !!

Just brought a nitron custom shock from HPS looks the dogs will fit in the spring , well worth a look only 450 pounds
