I would say good morning but it's f*ckin not!! Beautiful weather outside, couple of boys text to go for a run, went to start the bike (which is on optimate 24hrs) fast idle turned full, press the starter........turns, turns, turns.....no fire. I know have "diag 0" on the display, wtf!! I noticed when i wound the fast idle switch to fully on the display changed to "Diag 1" Resorted to holding the throttle wide open until it fired (which it did) and rode it home here.............So f*cking p*ssed off with the thing now that i'm starting to get tired of praying my bike will start on any given day!! It's an amazing machine when running BUT that's just the thing, you can't always guarantee the f*cker will start!! I strictly follow the charging, starting procedure, service it as and when required (2-3 weeks ago by the man Griff) and yet still more f*cking issues......f*ck this!

ANYONE WANT A BLUE B*STARD!!!

Any help on why this has happened and how to fix it would be great. :rant:rant:rant

No consolation mate but I decided to keep mine yesterday, this morning the clocks reset when I started it and the bloody Speedo's reading "0".

Its getting its own back now :D

Honestly mate........the f*ckers really get me down now! Just fitted the new shock and fancied giving it a beasting today..............f*ckin typical!

I'll lose alot of cash on what i've spent on it but i just want a bike that i know will f*ckin start!

Jap crap or not they've always started in my experience.:angry

Ahahahaha.........................found the bastard problem!!! The service connection for setting up the co2 was connected for some reason............disconnected it and voila, the bike,s sorted!!!!! Tim mate, you're a gent for all your help (again). Still doesn't explain why it failed to fire first time though but for now i can ride it again!!

If mine don't start the first 3-4 turns i'll wait 5-10 min then i try again, that allways works for me.

Not in mine Andi, i've had a VFR750 and CBR600F both of which are reckoned to be amongst the most reliable bikes but i've had starting, and other issues with both of them. My mille has been the best bike I ever had in terms of reliability and sheer grin factor.

Whatever bike you own you will always have some sort of trouble with it at some point :eatcorn

Why do people always say they're going back to a Jap bike soon as their bike doesn't start :banghead

You'll be posting on little1uk's thread "anyone else bored shitless" thread within a week if you do get one :nana

I know just how you feel.
Friday night I finished work and got ready to go home and the bloody bike wouldn't start!
Guess what, the sprag has gone :(
I'm sharing your pain.

Left mine outside for a night because i was painting the garage floor.
It was -4 centigrade yestereday - new gel battery died... And it was the 12Ah version not enough juice for turning the engine properly.
Spark plugs were soeked in fuel... and the charging of the battery did not help.
Removed the sparks cleaned them and put in the old Yuasa backed it up with the car battery and YES she is alive.

These babies are no very reliable in low temps...
Yes i ordered a Varta to give power to her...

Lost the warm part of the day, but went riding anyway +5C here in Finland.

Glad you go it started mate, That happened to me on my old rsv awhile ago, All kitted up ready to rock and it bloody wouldnt start. Was well peed off!

Took mine to work saturday night, (2300-0800) and left it in the car park. all kitted up to go home, Weather was good, Pressed the button but only a click, Took my lid off and started to swear at the bloody bike then remembered I left it in gear! what a **** :lol

Happened to me last year, got all kitted up and was meeting rsvsteve for a blast. Turned the key, pushed the button - nothing! Text sent to Steve who replied he was on his way to help then remembered I hadn't disabled my alarm.:jack I couldn't keep it to myself cos Steve had to be told. Still, it only cost me a latte to buy his silence.

After she started the Air fuel mixture was a little rich for the first 30sec ;)

Garage fire alarm reacted to the smoke.

Lessons learned:
A cheap battery is waist of money in the first case
Do not leave her out to sub zero tempretatures

And yes i do have a charger, but with the YUASA battery there was no need for constant charging- gonna go and change the gel-battery to something useful...
