Tyre pressures on a 2007 RSVR, to be more precise !!

I can't seem to find an exact answer as to what tyre pressures to use, and although I know that this will be personal preference to a degree, I thought I'd throw it open to you guru types !!

So, the question is - what pressures do you run for road and track ?

Have a check and see what the tyre manufacturers recommend.

I have 014's on my Factory and run 36f 42r, on my old Mille I had Pilot Powers and ran 33f 36r

Thanks matey - I thought about that, but Pirelli don't list any pressures on their site ! (I should've mentioned that I'm running Diablo Corsa III's).

I'm just a little confused ! There's a sticker on the swing arm giving Aprilia's recommended pressures for the bike, but the owner's manual shows different pressures !!

ARRRGGGHHH !!!!

Road Michelin 2ct's front 34 rear 37
track pirreli supercorsa pro's front 30.5 rear 28

but run them at the manufacturers pressures for the road

who cares as long as they are not flat do not blame the tools as they say?:confused last time mine went for a service it was about 10psi down at the rear:O that what i pay the garage for to check those things that touch the road.:biggrin

anyway got a new set of 2ct's today so i think they will have some air in?:devious:devious

I have found 36f and 42R, to be horrible fo rthe road, personally it feels like the bike is gonna just fall over in a corner. I went to 33f and 36R for spirited road racing and love how it handles with that.
I always had 36f and 42 r on all my jap 4's with no probs, just dont like it on the mille.

I had an email from Pirelli today. Keeping in mind that I'm running a 180 on the rear. This is their recommendation for cold pressures, which I thought I'd share :-

For road use, inflate to 35psi front and 39psi rear.
For track use, go for 32psi front and 30psi rear.
On a wet track day inflate to 33psi front and rear.

and with fast riding I would expect those pressure to rise a bit too.
35/39 is still to high for my tastes tho

Had mine serviced today at Southern Cross Aprilia, Kilburn/London and Don the guru put 33f and 36r in my 2ct's. Felt good on way home to me! :thumbup

yeah had no probs with tyre wear stability etc. 33/36 all the way.
although if I went back to a Jap IL4 (v unlikely) I would go back to 36/42.
