Well some of you may of read my previous thread following my first ride out I was a bit concerned about slight brake judder from highish speed so I dropped it off at the dealer for them to check over (under warranty) popped down today after work to see if they had found anything to find a rather embarrassed mechanic and an even sicker looking bike, my bike had tumbled over outside the workshop onto another customers 125, my bike has a snapped clutch lever, a smashed indicator and a scratch on the tail unit my crash bung has taken most of the impact the 125 has a hole in the fairing caused by my clutch lever, all this is going to be repaired and they were very apologetic, not the best start to Aprilia ownership, still theres nothing damaged that will stop me being out on it at the weekend.

bad luck gaz, hope all gets sorted.I was suffering from Brake shudder and it turned out to be the disc carriers. The carriers that the disc float on , if they get bent and run out,the floating effect will disguise the problem for a few thousand.klms. and as the high spots on the disc wear it creates uneven thickness of the disc and this could be the cause of the shudder. Good luck my freind.

nightmare!!

someone came over to me at work wednesday to say a bike had gone over in the wind. i crapped it for about 10s until i realised i'd poofed out and come in the car!

went and helped the guy pick up his CB500. work are sorting us out a shelter now that the horse has well and truly bolted.

Thanks for the reply lads, the only lasting damage to the bike is a scratch on the tail piece and they are going to replace it at an eyewatering 480 pounds no wonder our insurance premiums are so dear. The problem with the brakes is warpped discs so they are replacing them as well.
