Hi guys...I'm off to the 'Ring' later this month and looking for tyre advice....I got a new pair of Dunlop 207RR in the garage to go on but not ridden with these before. Any advice on suitability or recommendation for other tyres appreciated.

Cheers

207 is now very old
i'd bin them and go with 2ct's
dunlop 209rr are also good
you can tell the age of a tyre on the wall there will be a 3 or 4 digit number (3 for pre 2000 tyres)
the first 2 digits depict the week of the year and the second the yr
so 2204 would be 22nd week 2004

good luck on the ring
enjoy

Sharky posted a good link somewhere on here the other day about tyre choice...i'll have a look round

In my opinoin Roger i would also bin the Dunlop's get rid of them on ebay and then get yourself some up to date tyres 207's are a thing of the past now tyre technology has moved on so much since then if i was going to the ring i would go for the ractec's or the supercorsa's

Sorry Sprocker...all replies very much appreciated....:thumbup...I can check out the date of mine and fleabay them when I get home....or just put them on for 'normal' road use after the Ring trip

i noticed
i'm changing my name
lol
just scrubbed in some qualifiers 209rr and spun up a couple of times on full lean but brill feedback
wouldn't of known they were spinning if it wasn't for the tear when i looked today
ood tyre
well recommended

Hey..it's been a long day here....must be sunstroke...temp 39+.....what the hell...thanks everyone....:nana

Are they used tyres? How much are they up for?

Take it you are asking about my 207rr....yep brand new but bought a couple of years back now....price..mmmm...not sure. I might keep them and use after my 'Ring' trip 'cause I think my tyres for that will be shagged after riding to/from and around the 'Ring'.
